pCloud Review
pCloud offers all the basics of cloud storage and sharing, with clients for desktop operating systems, mobile devices and an intuitive web interface. There's also an optional pCloud Drive that can be installed on your hard drive, with files automatically synchronized and available offline. This is a great way to access and work on media like photos, videos and documents without tying up space on your computer.
Files sync in real-time, so whichever device you're using, you'll always have the latest version. pCloud has backup options, too: you can choose to keep your originals or opt for a Rewind feature that lets you see previous versions of files. pCloud keeps 15 days of versions for free accounts and 30 for paid plans (and up to a year with a premium add-on).
The interface is simple, clean and intuitive, with plenty of color coding to differentiate folders. Getting started with pCloud is easy, and users are walked through the process step-by-step. Once setup is complete, you'll see a new folder in your Explorer or Mac Finder window with the option to manually select any other folder to sync with pCloud. This will instantly back up that folder, so any changes made are reflected in the backup.
Other pCloud features include a powerful photo and video player, with a picture-in-picture mode for viewing video content. pCloud also allows you to create playlists and create folders that contain audio files, with all of this easily accessible from the pCloud web interface and mobile applications. File and folder sharing is straightforward too, with the ability to generate download links that can be password protected or set an expiration date.
